Why are you applying for Financial Aid? 

I am a Student in India studying Computer Sciences. I come from a family of farmers and the total income for our family is not enough for me to afford expenses other than those on basic amenities such as food and electricity. I also work part-time to gain extra money and have the burden of paying my tuition fees and also the financial pressure of paying the school fees of my two sisters. As our father barely manages to afford food and electricity for our big family, it is not an option for me to buy this course. But I am a meritious student and I believe that my education and skills will help me get a well-paying job and this course can help me achieve my goals easily. I want to improve my skills and support my family by performing well. It is due to all these reasons that I have to apply for Financial Aid. Thank You to the Coursera community for giving me the opportunity to apply for Financial Aid.

How will taking this course help you achieve your career goals?

Being an engineering student it tough, as competing in the real world where every year lakhs of students pass out as an engineering graduate. The only way to stand out from the rest of people is to have additional skills that the other might not possess. This course has all the necessary courses that will help me to attain a dream job of mine. I always wanted to be a Database Engineer and this specialization will take me a step closer towards it, I have some set of responsibilities on my shoulder to carry out. I am a hard working and dedicated person, this is all because of my family and to giving them the best of life is my ultimate goal. I will really be honored if I get the opportunity of being the few lucky ones who get this financial aid, and being affiliated with such an esteemed organization such as UCSan Diego  will fulfill my another dream of studying abroad although not physically but virtually.

 As I mentioned above that it is already difficult for me to enroll in this course due to my financial problems so if i apply for a loan, then I will not be able to pay the interest of the loan and it will lead to a compounding fee.
